A small paper companion for the 52-page textbook. The book introduces each kanji like a new friend. These pages help you remember which story stayed with you.
The story card is the lesson. A hook is only the handle you grab later: a detail, feeling, picture, or trouble mark that helps the story come back.
Make the marks yours
These marks are not facts. They are private signals for your own memory. Change the wording if another mark works better.
If a playful hook fights the real origin, keep the origin. The hook serves the kanji; it never replaces the kanji.

Low-stakes retrieval
Choose any six kanji from Book 1. Cover the textbook. Write what you remember: friend name, origin, visual hook, or where you saw it in the wild.
